Step 1 – Decide
Problem. Take a bunch of post-it notes and write problems that you are interested in solving. Now, group similar problems together. Give these groups names. List them from the most interesting to the least. (You can also list them by the most urgent or important, and other criteria.)
Step 2 – Research
Customers. Take a bunch of post-its and write down professions of people who experience this problem AND people who spend money on this problem.
Customer Journey: Take a bunch of post-its and write down steps these people take when they experience this problem AND pay for this problem.
Step 3 – Test
Sub-problem: On Customer Journey (see Step 2) mark a step as a problem you want to solve.
Ideas: Think of ideas on how you can improve that step.
Prototype: Explain your idea on a sheet of paper as a simple drawing or a website.
Feedback: List people who experience this problem AND pay for this problem. Find them on LinkedIn. Contact them to offer to give feedback to you.
Step 3 – Offer
Website. Update website based on feedback.
