Step 1 – Know Yourself
Values. List 8 things that are most important to you. Now, take out 4. What’s left are things you value.
Skills. List all the things you can do. Notice common themes and make a list.
Strengths. List times when you did something well. Get feedback: Ask 5 people who know you well about what they think you do well. Notice what’s common on your list and what people told you and make a list.
Weaknesses. List times when you did something and had poor performance.
Step 2 – Set a Vision
Interests. List all the things you are curious about. Notice common themes and make a list. Write at least one question that describes these themes.
Goals. List types of people you want to surround yourself with (Networks). List things you want to be able to do (Learning Paths).
Vision. Write one sentence about the life you want to live.
Step 3 – Set a Structure
Habits. Be energetic and do these things every day – eat, sleep, move your body, breathe, socialise.
Tools. Write everything that needs your attention today and every day in one place. Try using a small paper notebook. Does it work? Stick with it. Doesn’t work? Use note taking app on mobile. Stick to it.
Tasks. List everything that needs your attention today. Choose urgent and important tasks. Mark other things as “Icebox”. Do important urgent tasks now.
